Interested in joining us for Recreational paddling?

Step 1: Become a member.

Step 2: Let’s paddle! Every weekday (year round) we set out on our outriggers, gliding 4-5 miles along the Kona coast. We meet at 6:45 AM to move the canoes as team, and we’re on the water by 7:00 AM. Please arrive earlier rather than later! Seats are assigned first come first served. Paddles are available to new paddlers for daily use, however, paddlers are expected to eventually purchase their own.

We depart from the Kamakahonu Beach (next to the King Kamehameha Kona Beach Hotel). Free parking is available in the community parking lot accessible by Kuakini Highway or Ali’i Drive.

At Kai’Ehitu Outrigger Canoe Club we strive to share the spirit of Aloha, as well as our love for Hawaii and paddling. We focus on safety, enjoyment, physical and mental health benefits, and learning about the culture and our club history, that of the Kimitete family.
